This blog post will be in bullet points. There is tons I have to share but it will all fit better throughout the next four days.

I just want to recap for any of you who don’t exactly know the injuries I got from the accident. I tore the ligament in your ankle that basically holds it all together, also I cracked and fractured my fibula in multiple places, and lastly my ankle shifted out of place. In order to fix the injuries they put a metal plate and eight screws in my ankle

.

  • April 2nd – I had surgery
  • April 22nd – The doctors removed my cast and took out the staples, 16 to be exact.
  • May 22nd – I had a post op appointment where they said I was healing well, and was actually okay'd to weight bare with a boot on. This came 4 weeks earlier than expected.
  • May 28th – I was blessed enough to go to my summer bible study. It was my first time walking up stairs since the accident.
  • June 26th – "Your ankle looks pristine" I had a post op where I was told to begin walking without a boot.
  • July 11th-15th – I slowly leaned off using my walker and was able to walk short distances.
  • August 10th – Drove myself around!
  • September 27th – Had a post op where they scheduled a hardware removal surgery.
  • October 22nd – Surgery was successful!

I am sorry there isn't many pictures. I was tempted to post some pictures, but I didn't want to make you guys queasy 🙂 So there is just a quick to the point recap of my physical recovery process. It has been a difficult 6 months, for the first time I was dependent on others, and it sucked. But we will go into that more during the week.

Love you all so much, I don't think I can say that enough. I have one little prayer request, please pray for my heart and spirit to be open to transparency.
