Preface: This is an attempt to answer many of the questions you folks at home might have in regards to favorites, transportation, or even living conditions about the race. If or when we meet in person I’de really like to tell you about the deep things God has showed me on the race.

Favorites:

My favorite country would definitly be hard to pick, but at the end of the day, South Africa. I know I didn’t take every oppurtunity to explore what this country had to offer, but man was it everything I expected and more! The moment we got off the plane I was praying to the Lord for the month to have some rugby in it in whatever shape form or fasion. The minute we get to baggage claim Scottlands national team is picking up their luggage. WHAT!? Thank you Lord! I got a picture with one of their players and everything! Then later in the month I found a vintage springboks jersey at a second hand store and bought it for the equivalent of 35 U.S. dollars, but that was just the beginning. We w’re with three other teams that month and the cold weather was fun some days and challenging on others. It was great to have a large community and a variety of people to be with through out the month. Not to mention the food we had was amazing that month. The most epic experiance of this month was witnessing a memorial service for a local teenager that had been murdered. I talk about it in one of my earlier blogs (The voice of His Holy Spirit) I don’t know how to link yall to it, but if yall want to read more about it you can click (View all blog posts) on the left hand side. I had listened to Soweto gosple before on my phone but never in real person. The whole community knows the songs, when to sing, the rythem of the songs, and what parts to sing. I’ve never herd such beautiful harmony in my whole life. It literally brought me to tears.

…so that was my favorite country and why lol

Hardest country:

Either Mozambique, Cambodia, or Malaysia and all for very different reasons. In Mozi, there was all kinds of things with miscommunication between us and the contact, a little bit of team drama, and safety was a bit of an issue. Cambodia the big battle was staying present. Knowing it was the second to last month was really tough for me. Internet was accessable 24/7 so it was easy to just check out and fantasize about being home. Maylaysia was just plain tough. Ministry was exhausting, where we were probably had some of the roughest living conditions, and new challenges arose in regards to team relations and my own self

Food:

The nastiest thing I ate was a giant cockroach looking thing at the Chinese market in Thailand, and the best thing I ate was Cawsoy and all the Pad Thai also in Thailand.

Be Blessed,
