The title was actually inspired by a Turkey that I herd gobble a few houses downa lol Enjoy the blog!

It’s funny how God works. When I first got out here on the mission field. I felt like I had a blank slate. During team time I felt like I didn’t really have anything constructive to say. In fact, I didn’t even feel like I was very spiritual at all. Which was weird because training camp was a booster shot of the Holy Spirit! I had just finished the New Testament and no idea where to start with the Old Testament. I guess you could say I was at somewhat of a spiritual crossroads. It felt like the kind you sometimes see in movies where it’s nothing but farm land for miles and miles. Something tells me there are way more of these to come lol.

My friend Jan quickly pointed out to me the book of Joshua, and I’m glad He did. I love war stories! Battles, fighting, and how God always comes out on top! Amen! Plus shortly after is the book of Judges which has the story of Samson which is one of my favorites in the whole Bible! So God answer that prayer!

What was still bothering me was how much I felt out of touch as far as the Holy Spirit goes, and I had no idea why. I knew  being out of my comfort zone (Home) I would have to dig much deeper. What I didn’t know was where I was supposed to be digging. I felt like a blank slate. All this shortly changed after a visit from an awesome servant of Christ (Kelly DeCaster). Apparently the place I was supposed to be digging was my past. Something I thought I had dealt with, but I guess God was telling me to GUESS AGAIN lol. I have a few things/people to grieve, become broken in, and forgive. Now it’s like I owe God a bunch of over due homework. The best part about that is knowing where I can grow in Christ. Now I have this image of God chiseling away at this slate with this excited look on His face at it’s getting written down so fast because of how excited He is for me.

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

Be Blessed,
