Welcome to Nepal! Now I got to see a lot of crazy stuff in India…. but in Nepal I actually get to do said crazy stuff!! So far in Nepal we took a jeep over the scariest pass I’ve seen in my life with a 2,000 foot drop just inches away, rode on top of a bus, ate Nepali jungle fruit and pigeon, chopped bamboo to make a fence, saw a cobra, and gave a sermon just to name a few! I know that last one may not sound so extreme but it was my first sermon, I was giving it to people who only spoke Nepali, and I only had the morning to prepare for it. So it was a big deal and I’m glad the holy spirit was there to help me throughout.

We are staying down on the planes of Nepal which is definitely not what I was hoping for in the country that has the highest mountain in the world, but I know that this is where God wants me and he has rewarded me for keeping a grateful heart. I really feel that I have gotten better every day at entering his presence.

Our team has been walking through villages preaching in the village schools, helping around the church how ever we can, passing out tracks (I know didn’t sound fun for me either at first but people here are much more receptive then you would believe), and today we get to help in a wedding!

When we were staying just outside of Kathmandu we visited a temple and here’s what it looked like inside.

I don’t know what you feel when you see this picture but it is one of the darkest things I’ve ever seen in my life. Before leaving on this trip I thought Hinduism and Buddhist beliefs were kinda cool with the monks who do karate and meditate on top of mountains. America has done a lot to romanticize these religions but the truth is millions and millions of people believe and worship these false gods.
