CGA has officially started. Everyone is in their homes and they are settled in. We started out an exciting semester by going out for a 3 day hike and bringing ourselves to the feet of Jesus to prepare for this semester to come. During these 3 days we had some solidarity, we got to share our worries, and we fully pursued God in a great environment.

For myself, this camping trip revolved around some themes I want to focus on as I begin missions track at CGA. First, I want to focus on my dependance on God (a longer blog about this is to come). I want to trust Him more fully and let Him guide me greatly. I also want to focus on ways that I can expand my leadership skills and use them in not only learning more about long term missions, but also use them to help missionaries on the field already. As I think about these things, I always look closer to my ultimate goal of becoming a long term missionary to Guatemala.

I am excited for everything to come and I am open for God to work on me and mold me. I am going to be tested and tasked to persevere in some hard circumstances. Through this I will learn and grow to be closer to the place I have on my heart….Guatemala.

More to come soon; I am excited to share with you all!
