It is officially one month away from move-in up in Gainesville for CGA. It is crazy how so much time has come and gone since being home from the race. As I look forward to the day I head up there, I have been reminded to be present each day that I am here at home. It is easy to get caught up with where you are going to be, but you have to keep in mind where you are at this exact moment and time.

This reminder came in the form of helping a family here in my hometown. The family was expecting their first baby and just moved in to an apartment. They did not have much, so they were looking for cheap furnishings. I had some items for sale and we discussed them buying them for cheap. It seemed pretty good, a win-win in my eyes.

But that was exactly it, a win-win in MY EYES, not Gods.

One night I was looking at the stars and God just spoke up. He told me to bless this family and give them the things I was going to sell, free of charge. In my brief moment of hesitancy I kept thinking how I needed the money, the move to CGA meant spending money I do not have. The many times God provided on the race finally overtook those thoughts and I gave in. I remembered that God has everything in His control, He will take care of it. My job is to be obedient to where He leads.

I called the family and told them what God said. Their response was more than a sign that this is exactly what God wanted me to do. They told me how they were struggling just getting food from the store and preparing for the baby. They are overjoyed at the generosity shown to them. When I met them to drop off the couch, lamps, and kitchenware I got to tell them how much God was looking over them and loved them. They appreciated that and I hope that they keep being reminded how much God is watching over their family, because He is.

This short blog is just a reminder to everyone transitioning into a new season. You have all kinds of moments to press into where you are. God will put you in the right place, you just have to respond to His initial push. I guarentee if you do you will feel a deep satisfaction that is rooted in the Lord. That satisfaction comes from revealing God’s love, joy, mercy, and glory to those you bless and serve.

So, what are you doing with your in-between time?

Where is God calling you to serve and bless others, how will you be the hands and feet of Jesus?

Remember were called not to be served but to serve. So take each day and serve, do not let anything keep you from doing so.

Thanks for reading. I am excited, one month out from starting training, but staying present each day before that time comes. I am still looking for donations for CGA. If anyone is led to give you can click the support me tab and follow the instructions. Thank you for all the prayers and support.
