Everyone knows those moments where it is literally “The calm before the storm.” Most people relate this literally to weather, but for me lately it has been these few short weeks I have spent at home. I leave for Atlanta for the launch of The World Race on Sunday and our flight takes off officially a week from today. As I begin to wrap up packing, I start to feel that feeling. It is like when the winds stop and the World around you is almost serene. Spending time with friends and family seems more memorable than normal and the moments more exciting then the usual day. In a few days I will be hitting the floor running, going full force on this journey to 11 countries over the next 11 months. We will be moving and going nonstop. We will be stretched and pulled in all directions. It will be the biggest storm of my life, but I know that God has me right where He wants me. Till then I spend some time these last few days with family and friends, enjoying their company for just a little bit longer. I know they will go by quickly, so I am soaking it all in as much as I can before I go.

All this being said, I wanted to personally thank everyone who has been praying and financially donating to make this happen. All of you have sacrificed because of your belief in this mission. The gratitude I want to express to you is beyond words that I can muster up. Thinking through what I wanted to say just left me more choked up. God placed it on your hearts to give to this journey He has orchestrated and He will bless all of you for your obedience. Those who could not give financially, but have been praying fervently, God will bless you as well. All of you are a part of this journey now, each person giving me a portion of their lives to see this mission happen. I am humbled by all of you and thank you all so much for everything you all do. I am currently a little over $11,100 right now, which is amazing. I only need about $5,000 more to be fully funded. So there is a little bit more to go, but for all of you who have given so far, my gratitude goes out to you.
