This is my Fund-Raising letter I sent out.
Hi Everyone!
I hope this letter finds you well! I wanted to share with you what God has put in my heart these past few months. God has given me the desire to help others and share God’s unfailing love. I have come to know this through the different ministries and outreaches I have done with World Gospel Outreach. I have felt God calling me into ministry and never knew exactly what that meant. Early this summer I found a Christian organization called “Adventure In Missions” (www.adventures.org). During the summer I felt God pulling me towards this organization and the more I learned about it the more excited I got. I have been thinking and praying about one of the programs AIM offers and have gotten the opportunity to meet several missionaries that serve with AIM.
I have recently been accepted into AIM, and starting in January of this coming year, I will be traveling with other missionaries to 11 different countries in Central and South America, spending a month in each country, in AIM’s program called “The World Race”. I will be serving in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I am so thankful for this great opportunity God has granted me. He has given me the desire to share His love through my experiences. I think this will be a great experience to be able to serve in other nations, as well as my own! This will give me the opportunity to get to know God in a way I could not otherwise. I know that I will be tested and stretched in unimaginable ways. J My hope and prayer is that I will have a stronger FAITH and TRUST in the end.
Please prayerfully consider partnering with me financially. I need to raise $14,285.00 in order to go to the World Race, which will cover all my expenses with the world race: missionary training camp, health insurance, food and board, and transportation between countries for the 11 months. This financial support can be given as a one time or monthly donation. I have enclosed a response card, inviting you to share in this journey with me. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. In addition to the above amount, I will need to raise an extra $4,000 for transportation to and from training camp, camping gear, visas, vaccines and personal money to buy toiletries for 11 months which needs to be given to me personally.
I am so thrilled to see how God will be moving in my life and in the lives of the people my team and I will minister to.
