yup. the above quote is true said by meee. We have made it safely to Moldova, after a bus, subway and a 12 hour train ride. After being here a couple of days now, there are two things:
1. it is FREEEEEZING!! were not sure how cold it is, but I’m guessing 30’s. colder than Ireland was that’s for sure. we went to the little second hand shops on the street and i bought taller socks, a sweatshirt and sweats that say “badgers” down the side of them for more layers. I can only imagine how it’ll be at the end of the month, i wouldn’t be surprised if it snows annnd our only resource for warmth is a fire. no heaters here my friends. it’s kinda fun living like we are in the 1900s. keyword being kinda.

^^ see I’m still alive mom!
2. i do in fact have an out house with a rectangular hole in the ground for my toilet for the month, that no matter how hard you try you always somehow at some point miss the hole. but I’m grateful that we at least we have toilet paper! even though I’m pretty sure it is just streamer paper- like we would use in America to decorate for a birthday party. ha

so as I said on my last blog we got new teams and I wanted to introduce Team Chosen! We consist of Tommy, Natalie, and Melissa from my last team annnnd the new folks are:
miss Kimberly Kaim– I got to meet Kimberly’s family in Florida right before I left for the race and loved them. Kimberly is super fun and I’m so excited to grow in God alongside her. she has a lot to teach me!
miss Juliette Steele– this is a strong women of God and I can’t wait to share fun stories and encouraging words with her!
mr Caleb Galloway– he’s just funny, what can I say. he will bring life to our team thats fo sure.
To us Chosen shows how God has individually chosen us all in advance for His glory. We are united in Christ because of His master plan. (Ephesians 1:11) We are His inheritance, His treasured possession’s, His royalty to the nations and for this He has called us to show others the goodness of I AM. He called us out of the darkness into the light to be His light to the world (1 Peter 2:9) and that’s exactly why we are here in Moldova and that’s exactly our goal for Africa next month, to spread His love and eternal glory because He has rescued us.
So Kimberly, Juliette and Caleb all were here in Moldova working with the same contacts last month. I just ask for prayer from any exhaustion they may have and that even though this month isn’t as new to them as it is for me that they too grow in new ways and create new memories. And that our team can bond and learn to love each other through faith. Also, this month we are working and living alongside Team Pro’digal! so you can follow their blogs too :]
the kitten I saved from the cold, only I haven’t seen her in a couple of days :[ :[
