So right after I posted my last blog, we took Shannon to the hospital (late Saturday night). She was diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia :[

I have been staying with her until this afternoon and now Melissa has taken over for a bit. She is doing better, but it is going to be a slow recovery. We are not sure yet when she will be able to leave, but we are hoping she is better soon. We are scheduled to leave Olt County to meet up with our whole squad in Bucharest next Saturday on October 2nd, so pray before then.

The hospital is nothing like back home, ha. It screams communism and we’re pretty sure it use to be an insane asylum haha. It has been an adventure, at first they wanted to put her in a room with 8 other beds filled with old Romanian women who just kept staring at us and no curtains for privacy… ekk. I saw shannon’s face and began to immediately pray. And then God sent an angel nurse- Alina. she found not only a private room, but one that had two beds so someone could stay with her. the hospital is about 30-40 mins away so one of our contacts, Nicolette and David, have been beyond generous driving there everyday to translate for us.

As of today, she’s doin better- they’ve got her on lots of meds and IV’s. We just keep praising God that we now know what she has and how thankful we are that God gave us a sense of humor! Be praying for: her recovery, her blood work results, her sanity being stuck in the room and being far away from home, also for Nicolette and David to get some sleep. Thanks for your prayers guys!!!
