One of the forms of ministry this past month for my team has been teaching English to the orphans as well as the older kids in the church community. They are all on different levels too. Three of our students are Wadson,19, Jesonlove, 20, and Sony, 18. All of these young men are so eager to learn and strive to know more and more knowledge.

They would come hang out at our beach home :] after class some days. One particular day, when I first got back I was beyond exhausted. I just wanted to nap, but I felt God telling me know go get to know my Haitian friends even better. Well I had the craic!!! We taught them to play Uno and then just sat around for hours hanging out. We all talked about Obama, Wycliff, fables, school, US history (Wadson carries a US history book with him everywhere!), what the boys want in a future wife, the history of Haiti, boyfriends, family, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, the earthquake, testimonies, Jesus and the list goes on… we even sang worship music!
All three of these boys have survived the earthquake and know how important it is to praise God everyday for that. I am beyond blessed to know them. They know Jesus must come first in all they do and I see His love embracing them all. I love seeing God in others who have grown up nothing like me. I love seeing God’s provision in the small things. I know these 3 young men are children of God and I know he has a huge plan to use them not only for Haiti but for His Kingdom :] this excites me so much!! Join me in praying for them and now you guys get to meet my new zanmi (friends in creole):
