holas! we made it safety to Santo Domingo today around noonish (the DR is only an hour ahead of Dallas). I’m running on like 2 hours of sleep, but its all good. God has made this whole travel process super easy. Once we landed and got through customs we immediately went to where we will be staying for a couple of days and guess what was there to greet me?!!

DOGGIES!! they have collars so they were okay to touch. one even stole a whole chicken from one of the groups that was their lunch.

Then we got with our team leaders and headed over to the local grocery store to buy our lunch for today and breakfast and lunch for tomorrow for when the rest of our team gets here. Man do I regret not knowing more Spanish too… Dmoney I need you! ha

look SOUPA!! yum.

and here is another friend I have met so far 😀 but did not pet :[

Oh and just for a fun game I’m keeping count:

1. on the flight to Florida I got asked if I was old enough to sit in the exit row… you only have to be 15

2. when boarding my flight to the DR, the gate agent asked if I was traveling with anyone because I looked to young to be by myself.

ugh. total count 2… woody fail.

Not sure how long we will be here, but I believe we’ll be headed to Haiti in a couple of days. miss you all!!! PS. it’s HOT and humid, feels like home.
