What is THE WORLD RACE?
The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different
countries around the world, and it’s not your typical missions
experience.  It’s a way for young adults to abandon a traditional
lifestyle in exchange for a dramatic paradigm shift. Through
adventure, ministry, community, and self-discovery, World Racers
develop broken hearts that propel their hands to act for God’s kingdom
around the globe.  The best part of the World Race is it’s merely the
beginning of a life-long journey.

Why have a WORLD RACE?
Many people look at the World Race and get the wrong
idea. They
think it’s about young people seeing the world. The reality is that,
while young people often sign up because of the adventures they know
they’ll have and the world view that a year of global travel will give
them, it’s really an initiation experience. On the World Race you learn
about what God is doing on the earth and how to join Him in it. You
learn to follow Christ into the unknown. You serve the least of these.
You leave everything to behind to find out who you really are in Christ.

Why do people go on THE WORLD RACE?

Everyone wants to find their place in the world. They want to better
understand what God is doing in it and how to join Him. And many want
to go on a journey and pit their wits against a challenge that asks
more of them than they’ve asked of themselves. They are hungry to
measure themselves against that challenge.

They have a well
of compassion that has barely been tapped. They want to be poured out
as they see and touch the world’s needy.

They are
representative of an entire generation that has a sneaky suspicion that
maybe they’re on a path that is too easy. Maybe they’ve been tempted to
sell out to a career track and a lifestyle that doesn’t or shouldn’t
define them. Maybe the versions of themselves that the world is
starting to see is not the best one.

How much does it cost?
The World Racers, on average, will raise $15,000 through the process of support raising.

What does the cost cover?
The funds that you raise cover all team costs once the trip begins. This includes:

Food, lodging, and air, land & sea travel. It also covers
administrative costs, setup costs, coaching costs, debrief costs, and
training prior to and at the start of the Race.

It does not include:

Personal spending money, travel to the training, travel to the start
point, return travel home from a major U.S. city at the conclusion of
the Race, medical insurance [required], and vaccinations

With the exception of personal spending money, you are permitted to
raise additional funds to cover these costs and be reimbursed.

Prayers! Prayers! Prayers!
Secondly,
as a missionary, we are responsible for raising all of the $15,000. I
am seeking people to support me with whatever amount God has laid on
their heart. Whether it be $1 or $1,000 every bit helps!
