On the World Race, your teammates and squad mates become your family. We eat together, sleep together, live and breath with each other 24/7. So for about a year we become entwined with one another.

Although family is a good word to describe our relationship, the word seems to fail me as the depth of who we really are to and for each other. To look into the deeper part of what this community is here are some ways that we go beyond the surface and find true community…

We are each others:
sisters and brothers
friends
spiritual eyes for one another
church
worship leaders and choirs
shopping buddies
hair dressers
heating pads
doctors and nurses
surf teachers
hitch hiking buddies
prayer warriors
teachers
entertainment
eye brow pluckers
libraries
closets
news casters
sports casters
movie buddies
work out motivators
bakers and cooks
shoulders to cry on
jokesters
through all that we are for each other we learn how to fight for one another and love one another as Christ has called us to.
This list can go on, these are just a few of the ways that we operate in more than the traditional word of being a family.
We are a family, we are just blessed with going so much more into the fullness of the family community that the Lord has set up and designed for us that we operate in many different roles.
