Month 9: Thailand
I am back in Thailand, for our last month in Asia. What a crazy, whurl wind experience these last couple of months have been. So far our stint in Asia has been fabulous. We have worked with college students in a major city, lived in a village serving Cambodians and teaching English. Now my team and I are in Chiang Mai, working in the bar ministry. This month we are gaining exposure to the intervention and prevention side of the sex industry. We are building relationships at night in bars with girls. And going to an orphanage who has saved many girls from a world they were never intended to fall into, the sex industry.
I am blessed by this opportunity and with this last month in Asia. I am excited to continue to share with you what the Lord will do in my life and the lives of His people, whom He loves and has not forgotten.
So far this month I have learned:
I am not the internet (the opposite, disabling it when ever I get close to it)
Habakkuk is a fabulous book of the Bible, def worth reading
coke zero is a sufficient substitute for coke light
chiang mai is a wonderful college town
the chiang mai university is huge and one should navigate with a friend or phone in case one gets lost
wongen cafe has the best brownies ever…
more revelations to come. I love this city and what the Lord is doing here and what He will continue to do.
