So far I love Thailand.
The people are friendly and fun. The food is cheap and delicious.
The shopping is good. The outdoor markets are amazing.
The ministry excites my heart.
This month the girls on my team and I are located in Bangkok. Working with a Ywam ministry, who invests their heart and time into the lives of college students. The Lord has completely blessed my life with this opportunity. One of the things that I am praying about is working with college students and living in a big city.
Cities do not get much bigger than Bangkok. The city comes in, with surrounding suburbs, at close to 11 million people. Wow, that is massive.
But my heart beats for the city, Lord knows my heart beats for the college student. I love the combination.
I am excited to see what the Lord will do this month. How He will continue to mold and shape my heart. How He will continue to allow my heart to break, for what breaks His.
I will continue to keep you updated as the Lord continues to allow my heart to beat and break.
On a side note: my alma mater, the University of Kansas is rocking it in men’s basketball. This will be a hard thing for me to miss. As I truly love college basketball and especially my Jayhawks. And I recently saw my boys have new uniforms. Crazy.
so remember if you are looking for a team to root for in college basketball, KU is the way to go. 🙂
Rock Chalk Jayhawk.
