This month, we're in a community in Malaysia teaching English. The region where we're living doesn't allow us to preach the Gospel and to protect our contacts, we can't even mention the name of Jesus to anyone we talk to.

We can't preach the gospel. We can't talk about Jesus. So what's a missionary to do?

"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."     (1 John 3:18)

Who needs words when we can show the love that God has for us?

This week's lesson: Teaching our students vocabulary words about computer-related words. Which turned out to be a bit of a challenge at first, as our three students refused to speak to us at all. Or even smile.

Until they discovered Photobooth and the song Call Me Maybe:

(And because we learned about blogging, they insisted on adding their own spice to the blog)

 Today we learned about snow.

We facetimed with Mary's family.

My favorite colour is pink.

We download Firework from iTunes

My favorite song is Call Me Maybe.

My teacher put my eraser in her nose. (*cough* Mary Middleton *coughcough*)

My favorite food is fried chicken.

My favorite in the sky is the rainbow.

Sometimes, preaching the love of God doesn't mean using words but instead bringing joy and laughter into the darkest places.
