I'm not just saying this– Although it is necessary for me to meet fundraising deadlines to be allowed to go on the World Race and I greatly appreciate any help in accomplishing this, if I had to choose between financial and prayer support from you, I would choose prayer because money won't do me any good if I'm attacked by wild bird-eating tarantulas (or more likely I get a case of home sickness at some point.) Most of all, I ask for your prayers as I go on the World Race! Please follow my blog for specific prayer requests during my trip 😀
I've recently been asked by a couple of people how they can support my trip financially. Bellow are instructions for making a tax-deductible donation from my support letter. Thank you so much for all of those who have already supported me. There is a two-week delay from the time you donate to the time I see it in my fundraising account, so it will take me a little while to get a note sent to you 🙂
Here are my financial deadlines I must meet ($350 raised so far!!):
- $3,500 – Due 6/29/2013 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
- $6,500 – Due 8/18/2013 (2 weeks prior to your trip)
- $11,000 – Due 12/1/2013 (End of 3 months on the field)
- $15,500 – Total Due 3/1/2014 (End of 6 months on the field)
Thank you again!!
-Stephanie
Instructions from Support Letter
I’ve applied for, and have been accepted into the World Race – a journey that will take me into 11 countries over a period of 11 months. The World Race is about leaving your comfort zone and learning dependence on God while going out in the world and loving the least of us.
On this journey, I will be going to Central America (Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica), Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, India, and Nepal), and southern Africa (Mozambique, Swaziland, and South Africa.)
Through adventure, ministry, community, and self-discovery, World Racers develop broken hearts that propel their hands to act for God’s kingdom around the globe. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I need to raise $15,500 for my mission. This money will cover all travel, housing, and food costs for my 11 months in the field. This seems like a tremendous amount of money, but if monthly donations are made in any of the following scenarios my trip would be completely funded. Of course, one-time donations are also accepted and appreciated.
· If 32 people were to commit to donating $11/week for 11 months
· If 47 people commit to donating $30/month for 11 months
· If 140 people commit to donating $10/month for 11 months
For monthly donations:
