For several years, I have been reading numerous blogs about World Racers. Never did I imagine that I would be writing one myself. It poses to be one of the most challenging things I have done. I guess the title is what makes it seem so intimidating. "About". About what? Me? Every blog I have read has touched my heart so deeply, and has been used by the Lord to pull on my heart strings. There is something unique about World Racers. Each person has a passion for reaching the unreached. I guess the glory should go completely to our Daddy.
So, as I am trying to come up with some elaborate, creative way to tell you about myself, the truth is, all I want to talk about is God. He's pretty great. He's changed my life, and I feel so honored that He is allowing me to be a part of this journey. I have been spending months reflecting on His movement through my life. It amazes me how He has worked everything together for this exact moment. My best friend reminds me, often, that God is purposeful. That His work is never a mistake. There is not one thing about His children that He wishes to take back. He does not look down on us and wish that we were prettier, or smarter, or more talented. He created us for a reason. He gave us talents and abilities to complete a task that He designed only us to do.
I don't know about you, but I feel the pressure. The God of the universe (who has no need for me by the way) has chosen me. Chosen me to be a part of a journey that is unlike anything I have ever dreamed of. I guess the only thing I want you to know about me is that I am head-over-heals for the Lord. That He has captivated my heart and He has grown a deep desire within me to recklessly abandon all that is familiar to chase after Him into the unknown.
