I’m not going to lie, I’m kinda old. I may only be 30, but I can remember a time before every home had the internet, or a computer for that matter. Which means that I can remember a time before the internet had an opinion on how I’m doing EVERYTHING in my life incorrectly. I hate articles titled “12 things not to say to (enter demographic name here)” or “10 things we need to stop saying to (enter demo name here)”. I always coming away from these articles thinking “Well, what can we say to these people? Maybe we just should never talk to them?” Instead, here’s a few things that you CAN say to World Racers.

!. Tell me about your trip.

YES. I want to talk about this all the time. I want to tell you about how God was working in my life to bring me to this decision. I want to tell you about the fundraisers I’m planning, where I’m going and what I’m hoping to get out of this trip. This is the biggest thing in my life right now, so I’m happy to tell you anything you want.

2. Can I help and how?

Absolutely! This time before I leave before the World Race is used to get things in order, passports, shots and especially money. Obviously fundraising is a big deal, $16,500 is a LOT of money to raise. Donations are absolutely accepted and appreciated. Encouragement is also a big help. Even though it may seem like a short time between now and the time I launch, there are days that it feels like it’ll never happen. Or it’s so far in the distance that it’ll never come. Any kind of encouragement on a given day is also much appreciated. Encouragement can come in many forms. If you want to go shopping with me for something or spend time with me at all is all sorts of encouraging all the time.

3. What has God been teaching you lately?

Speaking of encouragement, this question is always bound to bring on good conversations. Plus, talking about God is a good way to keep the focus off the mountain and on the mover

4. Can I pray for you?

That answer is always a YES! The more prayer the better.

There are hundreds more questions out there and if you can think of a question you want to ask me, feel free!
