Please forgive me for skipping a few days. I was finishing up some papers and a final for my seminary class and decided to focus on that rather than spend the time creating this. But here it is!
Thailand is located in Southern Asia, and is about 3 times the size of Florida. Thailand covers 513,000 sq km and has a population just over 68 million people. Thailand shares borders with Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, the Andaman Sea, and the Gulf of Thailand. Thailand controls the only land route from Asia to Malaysia and Singapore.
Dec 24th: Pray for the agricultural crops which include: rice, tapioca, rubber, corn, sugarcane, coconuts, palm oil, pineapple, livestock, and fish products to be in abundance in the coming year.
Dec 25th: Pray for my teammates and I to truly be able to enjoy this holiday season as we will spend Christmas overseas next year. Pray for our families to enjoy the time with us, and for all of us to make great memories, and especially that everyone would ultimately remember the reason for the season. (Also pray for those who are spending Christmas without a loved one this Christmas, especially those spending it without a loved one for the first time this year.)
Dec 26th: Pray for Thailand’s export and import relations with other countries to remain positive so that they can receive the necessary products and money to keep their economy growing.
Dec 27th: Pray for the safety of my team as we travel to, from, and throughout Thailand next October
Dec 28th: Pray for the health of my squad and I as we are in Thailand next year, that we would remain healthy and would be able to not contract any diseases. (The degree of risk is very high, and the major infectious diseases include: bacteria diarrhea, Japanese encephalitis, malaria, and dengue fever)
Dec 29th: Pray for the leadership of Thailand, as its constitutional monarchy is currently an interim military-run government. Pray for those is charge to make good and wise decisions. Pray also that the country would do whatever necessary to get a leader back into office.
Dec 30th: Pray for whomever our ministry partners in Thailand will be, that their hearts will be prepared for us to come serve however we can. Pray that the Lord would prepare ways for us to serve that mesh with our passions and gifts.
Dec 31st: Pray for the 8% of the population that are child laborers under the age of 14. Pray that their families would find other ways to make ends meet so that the children can get an education and enjoy their childhood.
Jan 1st: Pray for those on our team who are picking a word to focus on throughout 2017. Pray that we would hold each accountable, and that our perspectives and lives would be greatly changed around the word we pick. Pray for God to make clear which word He would have each of us pick.
Jan 2nd: Pray that the land used for agriculture would be prepared supernaturally to be the best it has ever been for producing the necessary crops to survive and trade with other countries.
Jan 3rd: Pray for whatever adventure our squad chooses to experience and enjoy while in Thailand. Pray for our safety, that no one would get injured and that we would be able to do ministry and enjoy that time, but also enjoy our time off exploring and participating in the adventure related stuff Thailand has to offer.
Jan 4th: Pray against the current environmental issues which include: air pollution from vehicles, water pollution from organic and factory wastes, deforestation, soil erosion, and wildlife populations threatened by illegal hunting.
Jan 5th: Pray for my squad mates, that we would be seeking after the Lord through this entire process, leading up to launch, and while on our route next year.
Jan 6th: Pray for the 0.39 physicians per 1000 people in Thailand, that they would be able to provide healthcare to the people of Thailand, but also that they would get rest and not be run thin as there are so few of them.
Jan 7th: Pray for my squad, that we would be able to stay present where we are, but also enjoy community and getting to know each other through group messages.
Jan 8th: Pray for the refugees from Burma who are finding refuge in Thailand, that they would be with their families or be able to return to their families soon.
Jan 9th: Pray for those in the Army, Navy, and Air Force of Thailand to remain safe as they defend and protect their country when necessary.
Jan 10th: Pray for my squad as we are in Thailand next September to be able to share the Gospel of God and His light with the people we come in contact with. Pray also that we would be encouragers to those we are interacting with on a daily basis.
Jan 11th: Pray that the people who make up the labor force of Thailand would become skilled laborers and would be able to not only maintain a skill but give their nation a skill set.
Jan 12th: Pray for the major issue of sex trafficking that happens in Thailand. Pray that the people involved in forcing men, women, and children into sex trafficking would feel convicted of their ways and stop. Pray for the freedom of those trapped in the trade.
Jan 13th: Pray against the most common natural hazards to Thailand, which include: land subsidence in the capital, Bangkok, and droughts.
Jan 14th: Pray for the people of Thailand, pray that their hearts would be prepared for our arrival there next October, that their hearts and minds would be open to the Gospel.
