Acts of Random Kindness to celebrate the season right

I challenge y’all to pick a different A.R.K. each day this month until Christmas to celebrate the season and show a little extra kindness to the strangers around us, and to brighten your day. Below are just some ideas, feel free to comment with more ideas and comment as with your experiences in completing intentional A.R.K.’s throughout the month!

 

 

Opening a door for someone else

Give a hug

Notes of encouragement on someone’s windshield

Buy a coffee for someone

Give a stranger a compliment

Buy a food gift card and give it to a homeless person

Give a blanket or jacket you no longer use to a homeless person

Play Frisbee with a stranger

Start a pillow fight with a stranger

Pay for the person behind you in a drive through line

Give someone a neck/shoulder massage

Take soup or something of need to someone sick

Take breakfast to your boss one morning

Buy lunch for a co-worker, then eat with them and have intentional conversation

Give 10 people high fives

Make cookies or something for the local police or fire department

Write sticky notes of encouragement; leave them around everywhere you go today

Tape money to a vending machine for someone to enjoy a treat or energy boost

Collect stuffed animals and take them to a children’s hospital

Buy flowers for a widow

Put gas in someone’s car

Make someone laugh

Smile at 10 strangers

Thank 5 people today

Visit someone who is lonely

Cook a meal for someone

Bring a treat to your co-workers

Help someone load or unload their groceries

Share a positive blog post

Help someone change a tire

Send 5 thank you notes to soldiers

Give water to a bus driver or the mailman

Let someone go in front of you in line

Workout with a friend

Walk someone’s dog for them

Forward an email coupon
