The number one thing we are in need of is prayer. Prayer for health and safety, prayer for our friends and family we will be leaving behind for basically a year, prayer for our walk with the Lord throughout this journey, prayer for the preparation period we are all in, prayer against spiritual warfare, and prayer for the people we will come in contact with in the various countries we go to.
Besides prayer I also need to raise some funds to make this journey possible. While some of God’s people feel called to go, I know there are others of you out there who feel called to give to those going, and still others who feel called to go but not at this current point in time and maybe you’re interested in supporting those are are going now. If you fall into this group of people who feels called to give (and please be in prayer as to whether or not that’s you), then I would love if you could join in giving a one-time or monthly donation. If you are interested in a face-to-face or one-on-one meeting to learn more about me and this journey before you decide where you fall, please feel free to contact me through this blog and we can find a time to meet.
In addition to one-time and monthly gifts, I will be setting up a Silent Auction with a few of my beyond AWESOME squad mates, probably in the San Antonio area and we would love to have you come join us for a fun-filled afternoon/evening. When we have the details of this I let you all know. I also will be speaking in some churches about my trip, so if you go to a church that would be interested in hearing more about it, please let me know. In the Spring I will be having a garage sale to help raise some funds. Lastly, I will be babysitting, doing yard work, am willing to paint, clean pools, wash cars, etc in order to earn some funds. As I continue to think and discuss I will let you know of any other methods I will be using to raise funds, but the easiest way to raise funds and for you to give funds is through the “Support Me” tab in this blog.
