Hi! I’m Stephanie. I am 29 years old. I went to the University of Texas at San Antonio and studied Youth Sports Management, followed by getting my Teaching Certificate. I am currently taking courses towards a Master’s in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary. I taught Junior High and Coached Girls’ Volleyball, Basketball, and Track in Poteet, Texas for 3 years. I grew up an Air Force brat and lived multiple places, but mostly Virginia, where I was born and eventually moved back to and graduated High School from. I loved the four seasons there as opposed to in Texas, and especially enjoy the snow. My family consists of my mom, my dad, and a sister who is 3 years younger than me. I am passionate about children, sports, and most of all my faith. My best friend in High School invited me to a youth function which got me somewhat involved in church, but once I moved to college I really began to invest in my faith and began to walk with Jesus and trust Him as my Savior and my everything. In addition to my passions, my Spiritual gifts are service, exhortation/encouragement, and administration. My Myers/Briggs is INTJ, more introverted than extroverted, more Intuitive than a Senser, more of a Thinker than a Feeler, and more of a Judge than a Preceiver. I recently returned from a mission trip to Puerto Rico really desiring more out of life and a change in my day to day. I have always really enjoyed and been passionate about my mission trips and loving serving others. I began researching what options were out there and came across the World Race. I prayed about it, decided it was where I felt God was calling me, applied and was accepted to go August 2016, after deferring for a year, I now look forward to launching in August 2017. I look forward to the many adventures ahead, in addition to all the ways God will work in and through myself and my squadmates…they’re the best! Feel free to ask me any questions if there’s anything else you want to know!
