I am free
!
I am free to be who God made me. I am free to act outside of my ‘character’.
I am free to ignore all of the expectations placed on me by others.
I am free not to cry when everyone else does. I am free to cry when my heart breaks.
I am free to be silent when I have nothing to say. I am free to speak with boldness when God gives me words.
I am free to be passionate over big ideals and convictions. I am free be passionate over small blessings and tiny victories.
I am free to be ok when others are struggling. I am free to ask for help when I am under attack.
I am free to change my mind. I am free to stick to my guns.
I am free to accept Christ’s sacrifice and thus free to life without guilt.
I am free to fail. I am free to succeed.
I am free to follow God’s call on my life.
I am free to obey Him when it makes no sense.
I am free to love others with no expectations because I am loved by Him and that is enough.
I do not always live out these freedoms, but that does not mean they are not there. I am learning that God’s character does not change according to my feelings. The freedoms He has offered me are not dependent on whether or not I exercise them. They are there, they are truth- I need only to accept them and flourish within them. I am free!
