“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.”
Titus 3:4-7

It’s raining here (Palenque) a lot! Every morning when we get up. Every time we have breakfast. Every time we have a seminar. It rains through lunch and while we walk into town. It pours when we go to bed and all throughout the night. The Lord is merciful. Rain down on us. We want more of You (Lord). I want more of You. You love me so much that you constantly want to shower me with your grace and mercy and refresh me with Your healing, nourishing touch.

You are showering down your blessings on me, on us, on the town of Palenque and the state of Chiapas. You are soaking us in your Holy Spirit. We are a sponge and we pray that the people of Palenque are also thirsty for You! Lord, continue to soak me, soak us. Saturate us with Your Reign. Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

A week ago in Matamoros my spirit was dry. The land represented my
heart perfectly. It was dry and barren. You knew my heart and You sent your rain. You are healing my heart, our hearts…and rejuvenating our spirits. This green, lush, ripe land in Palenque is a living example of how You are refreshing and reawaking our souls. The land is beautiful and You think that we are too.

Lord, You came so we might have life – not a settled, content, apathetic life – but LIFE TO THE FULL! Abundant life. You died. You shed your blood, so I might live. You set the captives free. We no longer need to live in bondage of the law. You overcame all powers of evil when you rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. You broke all our chains and set us free! You set us free of ALL our strongholds: fear, lust, pride, depression, feelings of inadequacy, etc. So why are we (I include myself here) still wallowing in self-pity?

Pick up your cross and step into your inheritance! We are truly his sons and daughters and our Father wants to bless us with our eternal inheritance. But He doesn’t want us just hanging out in the wilderness (like the Isrealites) being content and surviving. He wants us to claim our inheritance – to boldly accept and step into our Canaan, our promiseland that is flowing with milk and honey. A land where we can experience the feast of the tabernacle. A land where we dance with joy because His harvest is plentiful.

The time is now. The price for each of our lives has already been paid. God loves sinners so much that he wants to see us fully restored. He wants us to experience his grace and intense love. He is longing to pour into our lives –
to rain down His Holy Spirit – to let the heavens loose – to declare His glory and build his kingdom right here on earth.
