Me, Becca and Benny in the back row of our jeep safari! 5am!
African Sunrise on the safari
I can’t begin to tell you how insanely cold it was in this open air vehicle running through the African plains looking for animals. I thought my limbs were going to fall off.
This is what our vehicles looked like!
Impala feeding at the watering hole!
Mr. Lion laying out in the only patch of sunlight on the road bright and early at 6:30am!
He likes the sun on his face! We all wanted to jump out of our vehicle and give him a huge hug but our driver reassured us that that was not allowed and we would get fined $1,500 rand which is around $200 US dollars…that is if we even made it out alive. She told us if we stepped foot out of the vehicle we would be breakfast for Mr. Lion.
Then this cheetah crossed in front of our vehicle! He was beautiful!
He climbed on this rock and marked his territory.
Sweetness!!
Some lovely zebras roaming around!
African Elephant!
A pregnant giraffe!
This hyena crossed the road right behind our vehicle. I got some videos of him as well as the cheetah. Pretty sick!
