First I want to apologize I feel like it has been awhile
since you have gotten an update so to let everyone know..

WEVE MADE IT TO AFRICA.. WERE IN NAKURU KENYA!!!

Ill be honest I really didn’t want to come to Africa I had
about zero desire in my heart but I must admit, I love Africa it is unlike any
other place I have ever been and the people have been absolutely incredible. I
am sure it doesn’t help that we possibly have the best contacts ever and I have
Kenyan ‘mama’ who takes great care of us. They call us Ameri-Kenyans we’ve
become one of them were one huge happy family.

So since flying into Africa while singing to Shakiras Waka
Waka song two weeks ago I have fallen in love with the country, the people, the
culture, the ministry, the faith here, to be honest other than the food
occasionally ive fallen in love with everything about Africa..

But at the same time Africa has been rough since arriving to
Kenya I have been sick, it started out really small, I figured I just ate
something if you catch my drift, I thought I pulled my back moving our contacts
out of their house and closer to us, and I had a head ache from the climate
changes, well for a week I had symptoms of malaria and had no idea. Last
Tuesday I went to the clinic to find out I had a severe case of malaria, oh joy just how I wanted to start out my time
here. I had all the symptoms, back pain, fatigue, excessive tiredness, loss of
appetite, hot and cold flashes, headache, nausea, you name it I had it. So they
loaded me up with 16 pills a day, slightly excessive but it did the trick.

I haven’t been back to the doctor but I assume the Malaria
is gone, at least I pray it is. After being on what felt like isolation and bed
rest for a week I went back to ministry Sunday. I broke my fever last night
however I still am battling with serious exhaustion, minor back pain, and
headaches still; who would of ever guessed such a small bug can take such a
huge toll on your body. So I would love if you would still continue to pray for
me and my health and Gods protection from any harm including disease. Now I
just have to have an African disease in my body for the rest of my life but
it’s a cool story right?

So missing ministry for basically the first two weeks of
being here and it being an extremely hard two weeks physically and spiritually
I can say that it was also a time that I needed so I could just sit in the
presence of the Lord and spend time with Him. Now I am so excited and looking
forward to the rest of the month.

As the month continues we will be doing orphan work, slum
work, teaching, visiting schools, preaching, door to door evangelism,
construction, painting, building relationships, open air preaching, and just
reach out to the broken hearted and people of Kenya I can tell already this
will be a hard month to leave!

Oh and mama and reverend already said I could bring some
friends and high school girls back so to all my girls out there let me know and
pray about it! 😉

Please keep myself and my team in your prayers as we only
have 3.5 more months and we are truly uniting as a team.

Oh and happy late mothers day to all you beautiful mothers
out there!! J I
hope it was a truly special day.. love ya mom!
