Let me give you a short recap of my life here in Swaziland
.
The past few weeks we have:
-Weeded a huge piece of land so that 30 families can plant and harvest and have food to eat.
-Homestead Visits (Ministering to the community)
– Been building a community center (tearing down and building up)
-Loving/playing with Swazi children
-Planned Christmas parties at different care points in which we get to put on a play of Christ’s birth for the children, giving children a free meal (probably the only meal they have had all day), and hand out care bags!
-Attended Swazi Church on Sundays
– Gotten to go on 15 min Internet runs once a week
-Harvested vegetables (Cabbage, Spinach, Carrots, Onions, and Beets.
-Hiked up a huge mountain with a slight fear of possible black Mamba encounters
-Taken beautiful walks on dirt roads filled with animals, Swazi people, and poop. Hahah.
– Watched an amazing starry night filled with shooting stars.
-Eaten dinner by candlelight almost every night to save on electricity.

Things we have encountered here in Swailand
-Lots of Goats. It is normal to walk outside in the morning and see 10 goats walk past you.
-Cows everywhere
-Roosters that like to wake you up at 4:30am
– A scorpion in our room
-A rat in the closet of our team house
– A tranchala in our bathroom
-A snake in our living room (thankfully not a big one)

We have been fortunate enough not to encounter a black Mamba yet (one of the worlds deadliest snakes).

Today is Thanksgiving and I am blessed to get to spend it with my wonderful team El Roi and team EQV. We will be eating dinner with our AIM contact Erica, her two interns, and some others. It is going to be a feast! We even killed our own turkeys yesterday. I will post pictures and videos sometime in the next few months! I am sad that I will not get to be with friends and family back home but know that I am thinking of you all and wish you the most blessed Thanksgiving!

Things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving
-My friends and family back home
-Electricity
-Running water
-Getting to kill and have our own thanksgiving turkey
– Living near beautiful mts. and sugar cane fields for a month
-Learning the Swazi language
-Getting to be a part of the vision here at the anchor center
-Not getting bitten by any snakes or scorpians (yet)
-Seeing the work of our hard manual labor
-Meeting new people all over Africa
-My supporters (I would not be here if not for you all)
-Bunkbeds! (life this month is awesome because we get beds)
-Being able to see God working in my life and in others lives around the world

Being here for the first three months has made me realize how many different purposes God has for His children. Being on the World Race is the purpose God has called me to for this season of my life. I realize this more and more each day that I am here as He is growing me in every part of my life.

What I love about God is even though we are worlds apart; our purpose is the same, to glorify Him. In this season of my life God has shown me the importance of not only being sent out but those who have sent me out (YOU).  I love how this allows for you to walk hand and hand with me through this journey; not just one who reads my blogs, but one who is a part of them. Without you this journey would be impossible.

I have been so blessed to be here on the World Race and pray that I am able to continue on with my team and squad for the remaining 8 months. Not only have I gotten the chance to pour out my service to others in the countries I have been in, but I have also learned a great deal from them. It would be heartbreaking to be sent home due to money. If you feel lead to donate please click on the support me link under my profile picture! My deadline is Dec 1st  and the money needs to be in my account and processed so donations should be made asap. I currently need (         )

In one week I will be traveling to Johannesburg, Africa to head to Asia for the month of Dec. We will not have Internet that month. So Merry Christmas and Happy New Years in advance!

THANK YOU again to all my supporters, for all your prayers, and for supporting me along my journey!

“Come, Let us shout joyfully to the Lord, shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation! Let us enter His presence with Thanksgiving; let us shout triumphantly to Him in song.” (PSALM 95:1-2)
