Yesterday we hiked up an ACTIVE volcano called Pacaya. It rocked my face off! The hike was pretty intense (about and hour and a half straight up) but it was worth it when we got up there! We literally walked on hardened lava that was smoking underneath. It was so hot! It was breathtaking to be above the clouds and watch the sun set behind the mountains.

1. My video skills are amateur and the footage might make you sick because I twirl it around so much. So, if you are pregnant or have any heart conditions, you might want to just look at the pictures. 🙂
2. The footage of the volcano is misleading. It was actually much more daunting than it looks. We weren’t able to go to the highest peak because where we ended was filling with hot volcanic lava..mu ha ha!
