This is Parker. He is a traveling frog. He has been looooving Mexico!! Let me tell you of some adventures Parker has been a part of these past two weeks.

After training in Matamoros, he accompanied our team as we were dropped off in the middle of Matamoros. We were all told, “See you in Palenque!” This might intimidate some people, being left in the middle of a town and expected to find their way 700 miles south of the border. But not Parker! He is a frog of adventure. He helped us with our heavy luggage and we got a taxi to the bus station. We all got a chance to witness to and pray with our taxi driver on the way. His name is Carmello. Not the candy bar.

In one swift move, we b0ught seven bus tickets that would take us to our next destination, Palenque!! Parker got very tired on the bus. Even though looking out the window was his favorite part, 30 long hours on a bus is a little much. Even for a perky little guy like Parker.
He was excited to arrive in Palenque late at night and stay in a hotel that only cost 6 dollars a person! A nice shower and a semi comfortable bed was all he needed to give him more strength for the next day!
The “race” wasn´t complete until parker and team 61 raced to some ancient myan ruins.

Phew! It was pretty tiring jumping all the way there! But he made it, with Team 61 and the rest of the January 2007 racers. The view was amazing!

The next day, he joined us for an hour ride up to the mountains for church. He met lots of adorable niños and had a great lunch of freshly slaughtered cow. mmmm! He is NOT a vegetarian!

That afternoon, God blessed us all with a beautiful trip to Agua Azul. The waterfalls were breathtaking. He is a bit scared of the water. But his best friend, Stacy had a refreshing time swimming and jumping off the falls. Woo Hoo!!

Parker also got to see two of his most favorite animals (besides female frogs of course!)

A nasty old tarantula. eeeww!

And a beautiful butterfly! Awww.
The past week has been filled with trainings by some of the most spiritual men Parker has ever heard from! It has been a great week of team bonding, spiritual refreshment and preparation. But Parker is ready to get his little hands dirty for the Lord!!
Stay tuned for more of parkers adventures!
