These past two weeks have been truly blessed! Thank you for your continued prayers for safety and health. I have been feeling great and our time of bonding with the 50 other world racers have been out of this world!
During this last part of our training, we have been priviledged to stay at a Bible school under the direction of a man named Eliazar. He is a huge servant and a beautiful man. We have been so blessed to have him in our lives this week! This week, two of the gals on my team and I were pulling some weeds and doing some yard work for him. After a couple hours, he came over and said his wife would like to feed us lunch. It was a welcome surprise! We spent the rest of the afternoon getting to know them and their hearts for the Mexican people. Eliazar has a huge heart for the pastors of Mexico and getting them the kind of training they need to succeed in ministry. He and his wife told us their testimony and it moved us to tears. He and his wife, Marta, are so precious and are doing such amazing Kingdom work! Keep them in your prayers.

One of our teams mottos– Work hard, Play hard! Yesterday on our free day, they took us to yet another amazing waterfall where we spent the day swimming and exploring caves behind the falls. Amazing!!

After that, he asked us if we wanted to go visit a pastor friend of his in a village nearby. We said, “of course!” That is when he turned to Hannah and said, “Are you going to preach in your bathing suit?” We were a little confused until we rolled into the village where practically everyone followed us funny looking gringos to the church. In 10 minutes, there were 150 people there. Talk about being ready in season and out of season!
We sang a few songs, had wheelbarrow races down the middle of the church with the children, and shared the gospel. We called up those who wanted prayer for healing and about 15 people came up. We layed hands on them and prayed for them. I´ve never really done that before. But I have confidence that the Lord cares for them deeply and he has the power to meet all their needs!!

It was truly a great time. The children and people were so beatiful. It made us so excited for the next three weeks. Tomorrow all our teams are splitting ways and we are traveling up into the mountains in four different directions. Our team will be the furthest out. Even now, we are unsure of the place we will be staying (we always have tents!!) and what kind of ministry we will be doing. But we covet your prayers and ask that you would cover us as we focus in on a community and a church. We are asking the Lord for many opportunites!!
Love to all and I will update later next week.
