Training camp for our high school Ambassadors has flown by! Our last 3 days have been full of: cultural
briefings and exercises, team bonding, dance parties, prayer time, cold
showers, lots of bugs, drama and kids ministry workshops, super fun
morning time, and best of all – incredibly powerful times of worship.
We’ve felt God’s love in such a real way, and that leaves us changed.

Here are some training camp highlights:

Welcome to Training Camp!

First activity to break the ice? Team games! Though we were the smallest, Team Puerto Rico dominated!

Our very stylish and ridiculously good-looking team.

Worshipping and loving Jesus!

Learning to act out a bible story for children’s ministry: Daniel and the Lion’s Den.

Each
team was assigned to paint a banner that represents our team and what
we want to see God do through us in Puerto Rico. Here we are working on
it!

Our
finished product. Our team name is Puerto Amor. Puerto Rico means “Rich
Port” in Spanish, and we chose our name, Puerto Amor, because we want
that island to be a Port of love, because we carry God’s love with us.
We felt like God was speaking to us out of Isaiah 61:1, that the Spirit
of God is on each one of us; and that he’s anointed each of us to do His
work in Puerto Rico.

Each
team also had to come up with a “team chant.” We wrote a rap and
performed it with some pretty sweet moves, if I do say so myself.

We’re so ready to get on the plane tomorrow and share the love of God with the people we meet in Puerto Rico! Thank you so much for your continuous prayers and love!
