Two weeks ago we thought we’d be in Egypt this month but God had other plans for us. My team and I prayed into which country The Lord wanted us in for October and just about all of us felt like He was telling us to go to Croatia. So we boarded a train and arrived to Osijek, Croatia on late Tuesday afternoon. We were here. Exactly where God told us to be. But there was one problem. We didn’t know a single person here. The number of people we had tried to contact here haven’t responded to us. Again, we didn’t have a place to sleep in just a few hours.

First step, we pray. Then, we split up. A few went to get phone cards. Some went to find internet to see if someone wrote us back. Some went to scope out a hostel and a few of us stayed back at the train station with all of our stuff. We prayed some more as we waited at the station. My expectations were high, especially after God has completely blown us away just the day before in Budapest. I knew that He would provide for us again and I was so excited to see what that was going to look like!

Less than an hour after we’d all split up, Tamica came back an informed us that she went to an internet cafe across the street. The owner of that cafe is a christian and he told her we could all come to the cafe and store our stuff there and use the internet for free until we figured out a plan. “Sweet!” I said and four of us started moving 14 huge packs and daypacks to the internet cafe.

Shortly after we got there, we received an email from a local church here in Osijek that heard we were coming. They told us they have a youth center and are interested in talking with us about a possible ministry opportunity. We called them right away and they came to meet us about two hours later. To make a long story short, these amazing people from the youth center who don’t even know us, gave 14 crazy missionaries who just basically showed up at their doorstep a place to stay for the night!

We’re staying at the youth center at least one more week, helping out where we can as well as doing a lot of prayer walking around the city and just listening to where God is leading us. This month is a lot less structured than the last two months. We’re basically just taking it day by day.

Therefore do not worry, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear?… For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:31&33
This verse has never been as real to me as it is right now. I’m overwhelmed by just how much God loves me and how well He takes care of me. I am seeking to bring God’s Kingdom, and He is providing everything else I could possibly need. Food, Shelter, everything. Have I mentioned He is a really good Dad?
