Matthew 6:25-26   “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

This verse has been heavy on my heart this month as I prepare to leave for the world race in July. I am a natural worrier. I come by the habit honestly. My mother is the same way.  As I fuss and worry about funding (I still need $1800 before June 19th), and what to pack, do I have everything I need,  paying off bills etc.… I keep hearing this verse. It comes in whispers as I rush about my day, during quiet time with GOD, I hear it at Wednesday night bible study, in church sermons, and from friends who are giving encouragement.

It is a promise from a Father who desires to give His children good things.  I reminder that He and He alone is my provider and I do not have to strive and worry to do all He has called me to do. He has already made a way and provided all I need.  All I have to do is rest in Him and watch as my GOD does great things.
