Hmm…where to start?

I was born and raised in
Medina, Ohio and currently live in

Charleston,
SC.

Last year I married my best friend, Brian,
and I could not ask for a better man with whom to spend my life.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have
grown up with an amazing mom and dad whom I truly admire and who never cease to
support and love me unconditionally.

I
have 3 incredible younger siblings who are so precious to me, not just as
family but as the friends they’ve become in adulthood.

In addition, my marriage brought into my life
another set of wonderful parents and two beautiful sisters, and I’m looking
forward to gaining yet one more sister when my brother gets married in a few
months.

I received a B.A. in Psychology from the

University of
Cincinnati
and my M.Ed. in Counselor Education from The Citadel.

I have spent my first 10 or so years in the “real world” teaching middle school students with emotional disabilities, and as
a counselor at the elementary and middle school levels.

I love the career path that I’ve chosen and love the
challenges and rewards that it brings…I get to learn from and touch the lives
of young people from many walks of life.

But somewhere
in the midst of pursuing credentials and furthering my education, I’ve grown
weary of trying to attain success in the world’s eyes.

A passion has ignited within me to pursue a
different purpose in life…reaching the lost, the hungry, the sick, the poor, the lonely…and
sharing with them the love, grace, and peace that only God can provide.

A few random facts about me…

  • Things I love – spending time with my family and friends, music
(listening, singing, and playing), traveling, photography, reading, learning
  • Favorite Shows – Seinfeld, The Office, Lost, Arrested Development, Scrubs
  • My Teams – Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavs;
    Ohio
    State
    Football and

    University
    of
    Cincinnati Basketball

  • I am pretty quiet until you really get to know me, but
once I’m comfortable with people I tend to be rather silly
