I cannot express the blessing it has been to be fully funded since the beginning of February and how grateful I am from everyone who donated to me and made this dream possible. This race has truly been a dream come true because when I first found out about the World Race program I never thought I would ever do it but God always has bigger plans for us then we know. He also has a way of making dreams come true and providing for us in ways that we can never thank Him for. My God sure does know how to make a girl feel special! When I finally started to trust in Him and the more I continue to the more He continues to open my eyes to how much he has done for me and how much he plans to do for me and in me.
So at the beginning of May we had team changes, which was hard because I loved my other team so much and they loved me so well and inspired and encouraged me to pursue God more and spoke into me about what an incredible lady they see me as. But I have to say my new team is pretty spectacular as well and they push me in new ways and encourage me to be bold, let my voice be heard and walk in the truths God has set before. With all this being said I want to introduce you to the lovely ladies of Team Nahar.
First is our sweet and powerful leader, Cassady, and let me tell you she pursues the Lord like no other. I remember the first time I met her was on the way to training camp and I picked her up in Charlotte and we talked all they way to Georgia and form then on I knew we would be close. From the get go she spoke into me and encouraged me about how much God loves me, along with how much others love me as well. She is one the sweetest ladies I know and she knows how to make a lady feel loved. God has given her so much wisdom and joy that shines so brightly through her every day. She may be new to being a leader but she is a great one, who rules our kingdom with justice, love, laughter, and freedom of the Lord.
Next on the list is my Bae (Bailey). I have had the incredible blessing of having been on a team with her since the beginning of the race. She may seem quiet but don’t let those doe eyes fool you because she is a little ball of fire for the Lord. She is seriously like a real life princess warrior in God’s kingdom…she may not like the princess part but it is the truth. She has been a blessing to me and has held my hand and encouraged me through everything that God has been walking me through. She challenges me and knows how to push my buttons like a sister would know how. She finishes my sentences and my sandwiches…yes frozen reference…I may annoy her sometimes because I try to push her to new heights just like she does for me. This lady may not speak a lot but when she does you can feel the power of the Lord moving in her. She is wise beyond her years and she prayers like no other, talk about prayer warrior. She is also a free spirited and funny lady, who gets my humor and she knows how to make me laugh that big loud one that everyone has grown to know. I am grateful for a sister like her in my life. I know I can always go to her and she will be honest and loving to me but also pushes me to newer heights.
Then we have a true New Yorker in our lives with Amy, who is a doll and precious friend. This lady knows how to get down to business and helps keep us on track because we all know I love to procrastinate. She has such a beauty to her that one can only receive from the Lord. And let me tell you she really knows how to seek the Lord and listen to Him. She is incredible at calling each of us higher and speaking God’s love over each and everyone of us. Also this lady has a voice of angels and I could always listen to her sing. Also this lady knows how to bring a smile to not only my face but to everyone who comes near her.
Next on the list is the Canadian, Olivia, who is a ball of adventure and strength. She is always up for an adventure and trying anything and everything. You can see the strength of the Lord in her and through her beautiful story. This lady encourages me to push myself and to walk in the strength that God has given me. She also encourages me to be bold and proud of who I am and never let anyone bring me down. I have loved getting to know her and learning what God is showing her every day and watching her seek Him through the word continuously. I know I can always go to her and we can be little goof balls together.
Then we have beautiful Rose, who is an actress I may add…yea we are that lucky to have her on our team. This lady is probably one of the sweetest people on this earth and her desire to dive deeper in her relationship with the Lord is inspiring. She is never fearfully to ask a question or to just be herself. She really knows how to make a girl feel special and she has really been so encouraging to me during this time of brokenness. Every morning she always tells me how beautiful I am and how I have this cute ‘wake up’ face that she thinks is gorgeous. She loves so hard and you can feel that this love is from the Father and no one else. Every day with her is a blessing and I can’t wait to see her one day receive that Oscar I know she will win.
The last but not least teammate is Sally, who sadly went home but will always be our teammate no matter where she is. Now this girl knows how to have a good time and make everyone laugh. She is a strong and courageous woman of the Lord and is going to do great things as a youth pastor. She is always game to do anything and never holds back. She is blunt and honest and knows how to speak truth into those around her. I hate that she left and I miss her but God has big plans in front of her.
So know that you have met the wonderful, inspiring, loving, and incredible sweet ladies of Team Nahar, I have a favor to ask. Some of these ladies are not fully funded yet and our deadline is here and passing. I ask that you pray over us and what God is using us for and then pray about maybe supporting one of these lovely ladies. You all have blessed me so greatly and I would love to return the blessing to my team and their time on the race. I encourage you to read some of their blogs and see how God has been using them and if God lays it on your heart to bless them also. Thank you for being incredible people and pouring love and support over me every day. I can never thank you enough but I know God is blessing each of you every day.
