Blogging has proven to be a challenge for me now that I am recording my thoughts in my journal. But in order to include y’all on all that The Lord is doing in my heart and in my world, I will be sharing excerpts from my journal. Here is something I wrote on the plane to our first country. I was flooded with joy and so excited for the journey I am now on.

On a plane to Honduras. I am amazed that this is happening. I want to make a few solemn promises to myself right now. Words to remind me when It all gets tough. Words to remember my dreams and hopes for this trip, this journey- when the road is hard, the way is dark, I am exhausted, defeated, totally messed up.

I will remember a plane ride over the Caribbean. A time when my heart is full. My mind is sharp. My body is ready.

Promise to say yes. Commit to seeking The Lord wholeheartedly. To knowing His will.  Following obediently. Live open. Joy. Sunshine. Pure. Crazy. Love. No matter what, choose joy. Take every opportunity to gaze on something beautiful. Look at the world with wonder and amazement. Roll up your sleeves and get dirty in love.

See the world with Jesus’s eyes. Love the world with Jesus’s heart and serve the world with Jesus’s hands.  Be gracious, quick to forgive. Pursue truth no matter the cost.

Throw away the God box. Allow Him to rule and reign. Love freely and passionately. Put others first. Rest in His love. Live like a child. Believe anything is possible. Dream and pray to see the dead raised. Believe for healing, deliverance, broken chains and mended hearts. Love everyone you see. Really see them. Look in to their hearts through their eyes. Be romanced by Jesus. Work hard.

Exhaust yourself in the glorious pursuit of Life.

Be patient with yourself, with your growth and with all your many flaws. Learn to love the Stacie God sees. Walk boldly as a daughter of King Jesus. Accept and celebrate the authority given to you by Jesus.

Love it all.
