Y’all,
My name is Stacie Carol Fields. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name was supposed to be spelled “Staci” but my mom was still asleep when my dad filled out the birth certificate. Thanks Dad. No seriously though, thank you. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I’m a southern transplant to the best city in the world (NYC)..but i am clinging shamelessly to my southern drawl. I live in BK, in a spacious love nest with the very best friend a girl could ask for. Mollie Perrot (you should know her name it will come up many times). Seriously New York makes my heart dance.
The only facts that matter:
I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
I was a worthless, dirty, shame-filled sinner and God sent his perfect Son to pay the price for my sin. He took my death. He went through hell to save me from it. That’s love.
“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Timothy 1:15-17.
Completely trivial facts about me:
-I love to cook and bake. I enjoy dinner parties with friends. A table surrounded with people I love, full tummies and good conversation is one of life’s greatest joys.
-I love stargazing and cloudspotting.. Sometimes laying beneath a sky splattered with stars makes me dizzy and I like it.
-Dancing keeps me sane. I have been blessed with an amazing career in an awesome show, with the greatest cast.
-I love my family. My parents are my heroes. My 7 year old niece is my best friend and a warrior of the cross. I fully believe God will call her to the mission field one day.
-Snot freaks me out. I’m praying about this one. But for now… I gag when someone blows their nose around me.
– I am learning to embrace my testimony and the struggles of my past. It requires a daily reminder of the abundant grace available to me but by God’s patient and immense love I am learning to surrender.
-I love to travel. I would rather live out of a suitcase than know the restless feeling I get every time I return from a trip to find that home is no longer the same.
-I am wild and free. I have the spirit of a five year old and the soul of an 87 year old.
-Books are special and I always have at least one with me. I will have a library one day.
-I like to climb trees and be barefoot. But I also like to do so with a dress on and a bow in my hair.
-I have a tumor in my right femur.
-I love an adventure and I will try anything once.
-In high school I was in a bus crash that made national news.
-I love people. I love people hard. If I know you, I love you. If i don’t know you, I still love you.
-I have a soft heart. I am tender. I cry if something is beautiful. But I will cut you if you mess with my family or my friends.
I would love for you to join me on this incredible journey. Follow me here where I will be posting stories, lessons, photos, random moments, laughter, heartbreak and change.
God is good y’all,
Stacie
