I haven’t had much time to sit down and blog since we’ve been in Guatemala….so here’s a blog that my co-leader Mike wrote about one of our first experiences on the field as squad leaders. I’ll write one soon 🙂

In our weakness, He is strong.

Stacey (my co-leader) and I have been going non-stop for the past two days.

Stacey said to me yesterday, “I always wondered why my squad leaders rarely ate, but now I know, they were just busy all the time”.

Honestly, I love the pace.  It keeps me on my toes.

It’s an honor to spend my life for the group of people before me.  The B Squad is incredible.  I would die for them, but I’m actually willing to go further to say that I will give my LIFE for them, which I think will cost more.

Stacey and I walked the streets of Antigua, through the pouring rain, for a few hours tonight trying to find a place to have our worship and teachings.  We had arranged to have the meeting at a church but we were unable to get a hold of them all day, and so the situation literally got to the point of Stacey and I walking the streets praying to God for direction, hoping to find a random place.

During this time, God supernaturally blessed me with an ability to not only understand the Spanish people were speaking, but I was also able to respond to them in a way they could understand.  I mean, I could actually understand about 50% of what people were saying, and trust me, this was special.

After many adventures and meeting some pretty awesome people, we headed back to the hostel with no place to have our meeting.  BUT, we didn’t give up.

All 52 or us packed into one room at our hostel, and praised God through some incredible worship.  Afterwards, Stacey and I called each person by name to the front of the group, to pray for them, bless them, and give them a journal we got for them.

Stacey and I had an incredibly long day, we were exhausted, and didn’t have a chance to eat dinner.  In our weakness He is stronger.

God gave us the strength to pray for every single person on the squad in a row, and He totally showed up and spoke through us in amazing ways.  I don’t know where the words were coming from…. wait, yes I do, straight up from heaven.

Even as I write this, I am so exhausted, but tonight was so full of LIFE LOVE and LAUGHTER that I just had to share it with you!

THANKS FOR READING!

Prayer Requests

One man we met tonight asked Stacey and I to help him.  He has three daughters and struggles to provide for them.  He wasn’t shamed to ask for help.  He was calling all sorts of restaurants for us, trying to find a place for us to meet, and while we waited I mentioned how hungry I was:  “Necesita comida!”   (I need food)

He replied “Yo tambien” (Me also)

Right away God put on my heart to give him 100 quetzales, and he lit up like a fire cracker on the fourth of July.  Praise Jesus.

When I got back to the hostel, God showed me how this man humbled himself and was not ashamed to ask for help.

I am hungry to continue to lay down my life for the B Squad, but I need your help!  I need a financial breakthrough.  I need support to come in both for this mission and personally.  Please join me in prayer for my needs to be met.  If you would like to help financially, you can click here to give for this mission or email me ([email protected]) to find out how to give personally, so I may pay bills and continue in ministry.  Thanks!

The B Squad

My goal is to raise the $6,450 for Squad Leading and another $600/month to receive a stipend through the World Race, in order to pay bills and catch up.  For this month I need another $2,000.
