Lately I have been overwhelmed with the amount of work that is going into preparing for the Race and ending my time here in San Diego. Then there is always the ever-looming challenge of fundraising. I am slowly coming to terms with leaving many people and things I care about in order to walk the road God has led me to. Don’t get me wrong, there are really great things ahead I am convinced. This doesn’t make it any easier to detach from the life I have had here in the states. While balancing those emotions, there are several responsibilities that continue to war for my time. I have so much gear to buy (decisions galore), a full time job, so many people to spend time with before I leave, I need to be immunized, I have to set all of my business aright for the next year (taxes, loans, phone, etc) I have to purge (sell/toss/donate) all of my unneeded belongings and prepare my living space for vacancy. I also need to sleep and have time for God. It’s all just bogging me down, and I am facing paralysis by analysis. If I could do it all again, I would have taken the whole month of November to prepare, instead of just a week. After a month, much of this will be over, but it’s tough times these days.

The good news is that I get a whole month with my family to recharge my batteries, and after November 25th, it’s almost smooth sailing until the Race begins in January. Oh my goodness, I am traveling around the world for a year in just 2 short months, CRAZY!

All things considered, this is a rough patch but goodness is coming. As always, if you wish to support me financially in my journey, click the “Support Me!” link at the top or to the left of this page. Your prayers and donations are not only needed, but appreciated dearly. I am excited to show you what God is doing with all of your support in just a few short months. It’s going to be awesome, stay tuned!
