For you I sing I dance, I rejoice in this divine romance

Riding on the back of a motorbike down streets and dusty red dirt roads of Cambodia brings an exhilarating unrestricted joy to my being. Those lyrics danced around in my mind and on my tongue as we rode through the Lord’s beautiful creation to a village an hour away. I marveled at the sporadically placed pink and yellow wildflowers dotting the sides of the road, the perfectly aligned rows of crops in the fields, the brilliant individual sun-rays descending over the tops of trees clustering the side of a mountain, billowy clouds rolling slowly across the pale blue sky, crisp air filled with the aroma of sweet flowers and distinct smells only found in Cambodia.

I’m in Cambodia.

I would go absolutely anywhere The Lord told me to go to share His love and message, and yet here he placed me, in the midst of a stunning wonderland, where He knew I would also receive a free gift of being fully immersed in one of my favorite things in the world; a day in the middle of undeveloped creation, experiencing the closest similance of flying that I will have while here on earth, the breeze whipping my hair in the wind, arms spread wide on the back of a motorbike.

The experience that I had on the back of this motorbike is a perfectly painted picture of the type of relationship The Lord desires and intends for all of His children to have and experience with Him, and the relationship I have been walking into. Finding joy in all things, the freedoms found in him, the depths of his love, the comfort and strength he provides in the midst of my struggles, hurts and pain, and the full life He desires to bring each of us into, experiencing Him in all that He has created and gives to us FREELY to enjoy while on earth. He has set my heart on fire with an unquenchable hunger and thirst for more of Him, to spend my days singing, dancing, and rejoicing in this divine romance He’s brought me into.

Shout for joy to God, all the earth;

 sing the glory of his name;

 give to him glorious praise!

 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!

So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.

 All the earth worships you

and sings praises to you;

they sing praises to your name.”

Selah

 Come and see what God has done:

 he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.

 He turned the sea into dry land;

they passed through the river on foot.

There did we rejoice in him,

 who rules by his might forever,

whose eyes keep watch on the nations—

let not the rebellious exalt themselves.

Selah

 Bless our God, O peoples;

let the sound of his praise be heard,

 who has kept our soul among the living

and has not let our feet slip.

Psalm 66:1-9
