Three days.

That's all the time it takes to share who Jesus is, His story, His message, to a school full of children ranging from 7-13 years old, and see the total impact made of His love in their lives.
Day one with these children took all that it had in us to squeeze out a response to a simple question, to persuade a "brave volunteer" to come forward and practice a typical American greeting of 'hello'. However, three days is all it took for Jesus to break through unimaginable barriers. Three days is all it took for these children to experience the real, and living love and hope of Jesus Christ their Savior, to allow us to pray healing over them, to trip over each other to be the first volunteer at the front of the room, to scream along to 'Jesus Loves Me', to sob uncontrollably at our departure- not because of us leaving, but for fear of the thought of the taste of Jesus' real and alive love leaving their lives.
I'm reminded this month at the power of the Lord's love in transforming lives; how when we are as open and willing as a child to believe in the things unseen, to open our hearts to a loving Father who is ready to pour into our hungry hearts, to accept the Truth of the Gospel, that it allows The Lord to completely work in and transform us that quickly. He waits for an invitation in, and when it's given, He comes rushing in like a beautiful mighty flood, so excited to fill us up with living water.
Mark 10:14-15 "Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”
Ephesians 3:17-21 "…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
To accept and let Jesus come into our hearts and love us, is accepting a new life full of love, freedom, and hope. Yes, please!
Thank you for the birth of my beautiful Savior this Christmas season, for the sacrifice He took on for each and every single one of us so, that we could experience a life of love with Him not only now, but for all eternity! Hallelujah, what a Savior!!!
