Family, friends, and supporters I wanted to write this letter to share with you what is happening in my life. After my first mission trip to an orphanage in Venezuela in 2002, I realized the mission field had captured my heart. Since then, I've had the opportunity to participate in other amazing trips. In 2008 I went on a medical mission trip to Vietnam, and in 2009 I spent a month in an orphanage in Honduras. These very bitter-sweet experiences have further opened my heart to the tremendous needs around the world. In addition, these experiences have been extremely rewarding both for myself and those whom I have had the privilege to touch. Today, I have another challenging opportunity before me.
I believe that God has purposed for me to engage in yet another life giving journey. The World Race is an 11 month, 11 country mission trip. I will get the honor to work in orphanages, minister to victims of human trafficking, help plant churches, spend time with sick children in hospitals, and most importantly share Gods intoxicating love with those who otherwise may NEVER experience it.
You see, extraordinary events happen as God involves ordinary people like you and me. When we pull together to share His love, lives are literally transformed… and God smiles. It would be less impactful for me to do this on my own. Therefore, I want to give you the opportunity to participate in what God is doing around the world.
I am sending this to you because I know you to care desperately about the things that God deeply cares about – people. I am committing 11 months of my life so that God may use me to touch the broken in this world and I am asking you to commit financially to make this happen. In the pursuit to raise the needed $15,500, I know you will give toward this amount as you are able.
