Hi Guys! This blog is to help you get to know a little bit more about me 🙂
I live in Ventura, CA., a little beach community in between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. My town is beautiful and our weather is perfect. We are definitely spoiled here. My favorite spot in town is Grant Park a.k.a. “The Cross” it has the most amazing views!
I come from a blended family, with my siblings, step siblings and foster siblings there are nine of us. My family is my world! Both my Mom and Dad are two of my favorite people and two of my best friends. I recently moved in with my Dad to save money for the race. This is the first time I have ever lived with sisters. Did I mention they are teenage sisters… The Lord never gives you more than you can handle right? Im just kidding, as much as these girls drive me nuts they also bring so much joy (and entertainment) to my life.
I have worked in Property Management for almost 16 years. I have done everything from leasing apartments to book keeping and now Managing. Let me tell you, there is never a dull moment in this business. Dealing with people in their homes, I could tell you some stories! At times my cRaZy co-workers are all that keep me sane.
Outside of work, I love being outdoors. Hiking, camping, going to the lake or beach, mud runs etc.. I hate running but throw in some obstacles and mud, sign me up! I love watching sports, The Denver Broncos made me proud this year. Now I can’t wait for some Dodger baseball to start.
June of last year I went on a short term mission trip with my church and it changed my life. We traveled to Haiti and stayed at a children’s village that housed close to 70 kids. The Hands and Feet Project is the organization we worked with and man is our God doing some amazing things through this organization. During my time in Haiti I fell so much more in love with the Lord. This is where he put it on my heart to pursue mission work for a longer period and that pursuit is what has led me to The World Race.
I am so excited for this next chapter in my life. I am so excited for all the new places I will go, all the new people I will meet and all the new experiences I will have. I am so excited to find out all the ways the Lord will change me. I am also so excited to have you join me on this journey and have you experience it through my blog.
