11 days left on this 11 month journey…11 lessons learnt (the very abbreviated version).
The race is quickly drawing to a close. Blogging has eluded me this month. Hopefully I will catch up soon, but in the meantime, a little reflecting….in no particular order.
#11. If your joy is not found in Christ, then it won't be found in most of your circumstances either.
#10. Perseverance is hard, but its worth it.
#9. I can live with MUCH less than I thought I could
#8. Life is only as awkward as you make it! (And we made it pretty awkward! Thanks girls for always embracing the awkwardness with me!)

#7. Confrontation/feedback doesn't equal failure…it equals growth. And being direct isn't the worst thing in the world!
#6. There are people all over the world serving the Lord in their own little quiet way, never asking to be noticed but serving Him just the same.
#5. I can't pretend poverty doesn't exist.
#4. I can make a mistake and move on! And people don't love me less because I'm not perfect.
#3. I hate living out of a suitcase, and saying goodbye to someone new every 30 days!
#2. God's will and timing are perfect and they are worth waiting on. No matter how impatient or how much of a control freak you are.
#1. Gaining knowledge without putting it into practice is useless.
I'll be home in 11 days. I'm excited, anxious, nervous, happy, sad, overwhelmed, and everything else I felt before leaving for the race. This has been the most incredible and life changing journey. I'm thankful for everyday, every encounter, every memory, every lesson and the chance to share it with all of you when I am back home 🙂
