Sorry for the lack of blogs lately… Two words: African Internet.

On Monday I free fell 300+ feet off of a bridge overlooking Victoria Falls—the largest waterfall in the world. WHAT?!

It was one of the scariest, craziest, and most fun things I have ever done. 3…2…1…Swing!

As I stepped off the ledge with my friend Tabby, we both let out a short scream and then took in a deep breath. We were just falling… and falling… and falling. And then, we were gliding. We swung out over the water back and forth for about a minute. It was so beautiful. The rapids beneath us, the canyon walls surrounding us. The adrenaline, the thrill.

After the group finished canyon swinging and bungee jumping, we went over to the entrance of the falls. You can hear them and see the mist from miles away. We walked up to the first opening of trees and saw them. Such majesty. Such beauty. Pictures can’t depict the amount of epic in that one place. There are rainbows everywhere. You go from being dry in one spot to being drenched from the rain-like mist.

As we walked from view to view, I worshipped the even more majestic Creator. Teammates were singing How Great Thou Art and Majesty. We were all captivated. Three hours flew by. We got to see it from almost all angles, even the stream at the edge of the top.

As I sat in a local cafe this morning reading, Jesus put these verses in my lap: When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and He makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth. (Jeremiah 10:13).

God is so good. God is so faithful. This month has been so full of His presence. I am in awe of my Creator today.

With Love,

Shelby
