This is also the main source of where I will be sharing what God is showing me in this preparation for the WR, and my journey on the race from August 2016 through June 2017. What is the World Race?
Headed by an organization called Adventures in Missions, the World Race is an 11-month mission trip to 11 different countries. One of the unique things about the Race is that it’s also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific Kingdom calling.
Why? Simply put, it’s the Lord’s plan for me right now. After a dark season in my life, God brought me to an adventure far greater than I would have expected. He’s unpredictable.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19
Where will you be going? South Africa. Lesotho. Swaziland. Thailand. Cambodia. Vietnam. Nicaragua. Costa Rica. Jamaica. Haiti. Dominican Republic.
What will you be doing? While on this journey, my team and I will serve alongside churches and ministries in the communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, teach English, care for orphans, feed victims of natural disasters, minister to those trapped in prostitution due to human trafficking, pray for the community, and love on people who need it most.
What are you taking with you? I’ve got my Bible, a journal, a tent, a sleeping bag, a sleeping pad, clothes, and some other necessities all stuffed into a 65-liter backpack.
How do you pay for the World Race? Like most other mission organizations, the World Race is fundraised. I can’t do this without a team. I can’t do this without YOU.
