T Squad has known team changes were coming for a few months now. We all knew going into the race that team changes are a norm but getting off the train in Bucharest last week, it was still hard to grasp that it was about to happen. God has been over this whole debrief though and I have such a peace about all the changes that have happened. Our whole squad has actually dealt with it very well. If I wasn’t before, I am definitely in love with T Squad now. I don’t know how you can love 40 people, but I do. Our squad was completely reshuffled this last week but we are not losing any momentum and are ready to take Swaziland by storm.

For me personally, this week has been intense. God talked to me a LOT this week. He carefully orchestrated the whole thing with the sessions and talks we had, the one-on-ones with coaches and staff and time with the whole squad. God totally knew when I would need a word during a worship time, when I would need a one-on-one, when I needed a prayer, and when I just needed a hug. This week was so refreshing and even more tangible proof of just how much God loves me and cares about me. I didn’t even realize how much I needed it.

Anyway, back to team changes. 🙂 It’s going to be so hard to say goodbye to team Shefa when we get to Swaziland but I am so excited about what God has in store for Team Go There! We came up with the name as kind of a joke about World Race slang but it also reflects the heart that our new team has. We are all done with playing the part that everything is fine. We are ready to get down with the nitty gritty, embrace the uncomfortable, stand up to the darkness and shine God’s light in each other and the world. We have all gotten to a place where we just want more of God and we are ready to do whatever it takes. We are just going to go there. 🙂 This team will not progress without challenges but I can see how God has put us together for a reason and we all have so much to learn from each other. I can’t wait to do work on Swazi!
