I know everyone has many Who? What? Where? When? and Whys? running through their mind about my trip, so I am about to answer as many as possible.

I am living in Oradea, Romania at the Caminuel Felix Family Village!

Caminul Felix takes children that have been neglected and abandoned. It is similar to the foster care system in the states, but with a much more permanent living situation. At Caminul Felix they believe that a child suffering from trauma and abandonment needs a safe haven where he or she can feel secure and have time to heal and discover life. They provide that haven—a home, loving adoptive parents and an extended family, brothers and sisters.

Today Caminul Felix has two villages in Oradea, in the western part of Romania. Our organization consists of 16 families caring for over 200 children. Our World Race team in staying in village two. It consists of about ten houses, each with its won wet of house parents and about ten kids. There is also a dairy farm the provides milk and cheese for the families in the villages. They also sell the milk to the surrounding towns.

This is truly a loving family atmosphere! We have been helping build homes that are available to adults that grew up here as children. The people that work in the "hotel" we are staying in and on the farm grew up at Caminul Felix and have chosen to give back.
